Meadowbrook Waldorf School plans ambitious campus ?
The Meadowbrook Waldorf School is planning an ambitious new campus Richmond, Rhode Island. The plan calls for an early childhood center and an elementary school for students through the eighth grade, as well as the eventual construction of a high school and an auditorium. "This project is going to unique. People will come from far and wide to see it," says developer Michael Abbott. The project is estimated at a cost of "several million dollars."

Pickup smashes into Waldorf school bus ?
A pickup smashed into a school bus from the Susquehanna Waldorf School. "The impact spun the bus around 180 degrees as it rolled on its side," Brace said. "All the students and bus driver were able to crawl out on their own." Apparently, the driver of the pickup ran a stop sign during heavy rain. Fortunately, everyone was ok.

Cincinnati Waldorf School seeks to expand ?
The Cincinnati Waldorf School wants to create an early childhood-education center in Indian Hill. "The goal is to ultimately develop the entire campus there, but always have an East Side location at Meshewa Farm to get exposure," says Waldorf parent John Savage.

Profile of Little Wind Country School ?
"Barnyard Classroom" is a profile of the Little Wind Country School in Minnesota. School founder Marjorie Maier says, "Our job is to protect their childhood and keep those years of imagination. We don't want to push them ahead to a place they're not ready to go." This is consistent with Waldorf's belief that early reading is damaging to children.

Waldorf parent authors book on rural Maine life ?
"I suppose I farm because there is beer,"writes Waldorf parent Max Alexander in his new book, Man Bites Log: The Unlikely Adventures of a City Guy in the Wood. "In that sense, farming gives me something to look forward to on a daily basis," he continues to share in this profile. Incidentally, Max's wife , teacher at Ashwood Waldorf Schoolwas one of the key inspirations behind OpenWaldorf, and is graciously thanked on the OpenWaldorf Thanks page.

Waldorf student arrested in democratic protest ?
Annie Elfing, a 17-year old Waldorf school student from Hawaii was arrested at the GOP convention in NYC. The student was separated from her companions the next day and held at awarehouse. Fortunately, she was praised by those around her for courageously exercising her free speech rights. Don't the cops have better things to do?

Orchard Valley Waldorf gets new building ?
The Orchard Valley School of Vermont is moving into a rennovated barn to expand their campus. "I didn't go into education originally,I was a gardener/farmer … moved on with my studies and that included teaching," the first grade teacher said.

Santa Cruz Waldorf opens high school ?
The Santa Cruz Waldorf School is opening a Waldorf high school. "The purpose is to allow students to develop confidence ... their full potential, creativity, flexibility."

Santa Monica Waldorf School Opens New Campus ?
The Westside Waldorf School of Santa Monica opened a new campus this year. The schools director, Jeffrey Graham believes the new site will give the school a “broader financial base? and “increase the visibility for Waldorf education.?
