A sad but heartwarming story about a Waldorf kindergartner that died from lukemia.. It makes me sad thinking about the Waldorf POV that "Serious complications in childhood illness which produce permanent damage or even death are probably deeply founded in the destiny of the person concerned." "I think there's research that says [knitting] helps release serotonin in the brain," claims a teacher from the Henry Wing School in Massachusetts who was inspired to knit by Waldorf. She fails to mention that Rudolf Steiner says that knitting will also "counteract the process of dental decay."
